These two are the expensive end of budget Bhaktapur. Balkot has built up quickly with newer apartment-style buildings, and Lokanthali is effectively on the Kathmandu doorstep near Koteshwor. You get better buildings, more attached bathrooms and the shortest commute in the district - and you pay for all three.
